Most of my writing is concentrated in my own blogs. In the past, I managed two separate blogs: The Empowered Career Woman, focusing on career management issues, and Corporate Recruiting Diva, focusing on recruitment issues. I made the decision to discontinue the two blogs and launch my current blog over at Empower Me! Blog. There, I am able to expressively write about relevant topics (entrepreneurship, small business, career management, technology, branding, social media, recruiting, diversity) without being pigeonholed into a specific topic. The two previous blogs remain available for viewing, just disabled for comments or future posts. And my blog dedicated to strictly recruiting is over on The Red Shoe Agency Blog.
I have been fortunate and blessed to have been a contributor to Forbes.com focusing on motivating and educating readers to navigate their careers and business with confidence, passion and continued learning. My breakout article was the wildly popular (and instantly viral) No, You Can’t Pick My Brain, which was the genesis for the book. That book debuted and remained on the #1 spot in Amazon.com‘s Hot New Releases category for three weeks straight. You can find my articles by conducting a search on my name on the Forbes.com website.
I am also a contributor at Business Knowledge Share by American Express, Hiscox Small Business Blog, Clarity Business Advice Blog, and on Examiner.com in the National Networking category.
I’m sure a simple Google search of my name will bring up additional writings and contributions.
Published Author
Did you know I’m a published author? I have several titles under my belt. I chose to self-publish and create my own publishing division. You can find books, text books, audio CDs, DVDs and self-study courses in my catalog as well as on the Empower Me! website. I invite you to also check out my Amazon Author Page. The digital versions of some of my work can be found on Kindle and also Barnes & Noble Nook.
Publisher
I never take the simple way out. Going it the traditional way really doesn’t fit with my personality. When someone tells me I can’t do something, I work three times harder to make sure I can. In 2010 I launched my own magazine site Empower Me! Magazine. In 2013 the magazine is available in print (including a digital version and an app). I manage an incredible team of bloggers for the site, as well as writers, editors and support people for the print magazine. It’s a collaborative effort, and without my team, we wouldn’t be able to make it happen. The magazine focuses on bringing readers tips, advice and resources that help them grow in ANY economy. There is an online community for readers to discuss content and network with one another. I’ve made sure to incorporate social media into the mix, because without it and technology, we wouldn’t be able to continue what we do.
